When a hand grasped mine
And I memorized the palm
Before I memorized the person the palm belonged to.

His hand, gentle yet persuasive,
His hand took mine, calling it beautiful,
And you see, nobody else had done that,
They'd all ignored my hand.

So his hand gained my hand's trust
And soon those hands were inseparable
Hiding their connection because
